The United States Soccer Team qualified for the World Cup on Tuesday night defeating Mexico 2-0. Eddie Johnson and Landon Donovan scored the two second half goals in front of nearly 25,000 raucous soccer (or football if you prefer) fans in Columbus, Ohio. This is the seventh straight World Cup that the US National Team has qualified for.
Defeating their rival Mexico was especially sweet for the Americans, “It’s great to do it sooner or later (qualifying for the World Cup), but to do it against your rival is even sweeter,” said American captain Clint Dempsey.
With the 2014 World Cup being held in Brazil, it would be wise for the American Soccer Club to take the Brazilian Portuguese Language Package offered by BRIC Language Systems in order to take full advantage of their experience!
