Aiming to Please
This one is for those of you with a Y-chromosome.
I have mixed feelings on this. In Shenzhen, you can be fined if you go misfire while using a public urinal. It’s not an ungodly amount, only ¥100RMB (~$16). Here’s where we first found out about it: here.
As the article points out, how do they enforce this? The idea of having an old Chinese guy methodically supervising your trips to the urinal is somewhat unpleasant. What if you’ve been barhopping and need to use the public restrooms on your way home? Will there be a government official waiting in the public restrooms with a clipboard and rubber gloves?
The other half of me really does think that the behavior in most Chinese restrooms needs to be changed. I won’t go into gross details, but this law was written for a reason. Watch your aim fellas.
