– 你好,你好吗(nǐ hǎo ,nǐ hǎo ma)?
– Hi, how are you?

– 我很好,你呢(wǒ hěn hǎo ,nǐ ne)?
– I am fine, and you?

– 很高兴认识你,我叫……(hěn gāo xìng rèn shí nǐ ,wǒ jiào…)
– Nice to meet you. My name is ….

– 你叫什么(nǐ jiào shén me)?
– What’s your name?

– 你是哪里人(nǐ shì nǎ lǐ rén)?
– Where are you from?

– 我是美国人(wǒ shì měi guó rén)。
– I am American

– 好久不见(hǎo jiǔ bú jiàn)!
– Long time no see!

– 我喜欢……(wǒ xǐ huān ……)!
– I like…!

– 你可以说慢一点吗?(nǐ kě yǐ shuō màn yì diǎn ma)?
– Can you speak more slowly please?

– 你明白吗(nǐ míng bai ma)?
– Do you understand?

– 我的中文不太好(wǒ de zhōng wén bú tài hǎo)。
